The Ministry of New Technologies, Industry and Energy, typically referred to as "InduTech" for advertisement and public image, is an extremely technical body of government that manages the finer details of the nation's life. Ministry technicians, famous for their obsession with precision and excessive safety measures, are commonly seen assisting locals and are renown for their capability to construct and perform repairs in record times. One example of this is the emergency repair of the dam in 512, which cracked and threatened to rupture before being patched and repaired in exactly six hours by ministry artificers and engineers.
The ministry mostly operates in an almost militaristic way, with the minister acting as a leader figure instructing a top-down hierarchy and coordinating inspections, new projects and developments and carefully strategizing public infrastructure. It is widely considered that the excellent state of public transport, city services and daily necessities are attributable to the ministry's efficiency, and minister INDUTECH's sometimes alienating intelligence.
The ministry is divided as such:
Engineering Central Command: a tightly run, clockwork precise bureau that acts as a dispatch for national engineering teams. An elite body sent out to crises and emergencies and given special authorization to act sometimes beyond the rule of law. It is rumored to be run by an avatar of Esser, god of craft and smithing.
Energy Management Bureau: staffs and monitors power production facilities like dams, gas plants and magical energy outlets.
Environmental Protection Bureau: safeguards the natural environment and local flora and fauna, provides guidelines for construction projects to abide by environmental protection laws.
Meteorological and Hydrological Bureau: monitors the nation's weather, provides reports and predicts critical events such as storms. Additionally surveys the nation's underwater wildlife and ecosystem.
Papers and Registers Office: approves and catalogues patents for new products, registers new companies and maintains intellectual property law.
INDUTECH, the current minister.
