This is a special page similar to the Siwaken First Nation page on First Nations.
The Daren First Nation refers to the internationally recognized protected community of Daren, located at the southern edge of Oras on a small island south of the western continent. This indigenous community is made up entirely of Plasmoids, a race of amorphous slime people. Plasmoids live in small, pacifist communities and mostly sustain themselves on hunting and absorbing nutrients from plants. They have recently organized into a larger quasi-nation and have declared independence themselves, being recognized by the world's nations and protected.
Plasmoids were an invasive species brought to the island they inhabit now by early colonists from the eastern continent in order to ward off small fauna and insects. Essentially domesticated slime people, they were left on their own when a cyclone washed over the island, killing the settlers and leaving only the plasmoids behind. Over time, they evolved and formed a language, societal structure and traditions based upon those they knew from their handlers.
