The technological progress and economic boom of modern Norelva has helped corporations and companies bloom, typically seated in the capital or Gelfort. There is a nearly uncountable number, mostly small, but there are a few notable ones:
Government-subsidized companies, like NorElectric, Royal Petrols and others, working under the ever present guidance of the Norelvan executive and the Ministry of Industry and Technology. NorElectric handles the brand new electrical network of the city, for now only servicing factories, important infrastructure and basic lighting across the city. Royal Petrols is a magnate in the oil and gas industry, partially serving other nations as well as Norelva. The Royal Petrols pipeline network is extensive, but frequently threatened by conservation groups and nature preservation guerrillas.
"With tooth and claw."
Ravencastle Security Solutions is a private military company famous all across the nation, easily identifiable by their black color scheme, high-tech equipment and loose rules of engagement. They are often accused of illegitimate or outright illegal acts, but Ravencastle's elite legal team is usually capable of shutting down these allegations. Despite that, the police and the Royal Armed Forces don't look very favorably upon Ravencastle, and rarely work together.
"Driving the future forward."
LisiTech Incorporated has quickly risen to fame and success over the years, especially as new advances in precision manufacturing allowed for handcrafted and highly sought after pieces of machinery and clockwork to be mass produced. Previously just a small family business operated by Dr. Lisimacus Telemachus, a Forged inventor who previously worked in the King's court, LisiTech soon solidified into a trustworthy and respectable company that supplies precision equipment to other industries, consumers, and even the military and scientific agencies.
"We are Steel."
There is little to say about Sumferrum Heavy Industries that their products don't say on their own. Being the primary manufacturer of ships, trains, airship frames, massive industrial equipment and special projects, Sumferrum has cemented itself as basically necessary for the prosperity of Norelva, and a primary reason of the nation's great wealth.
"Medical solutions on the fly."
Fermacort Pharmaceutics, or generally just referred to as Pharma, is a company primarily focused on medical research and the manufacturing of medicine, drugs and surgical equipment. Little is known about them, and they keep a secretive front. There are no Fermacort offices in Norelva, a peculiarity given the nation's central role in the world's economy. Nevertheless, they have pushed forward valuable advances for medicine, such as advanced anesthetics, antibiotics and a first prototype for a defibrillator.
"Got gold?"
Run by a dragon whose name has been lost to time and non-disclosure agreements, the Great Banks of the North are a union of banking companies glued into one. Typically just called the Bank, as there is a high chance any one bank is owned by the corporation, it operates with sufficient transparency not to be illegal, but not enough to not be suspicious. Regardless, it offers good interest rates and quite a liberal loan policy, at times financing decaying businesses back to life. Employees often state that such decisions are taken "out of curiosity" by the CEO.
"The nation on demand."
The pride of the kingdom, the Norelva Automobile Company is the first official automotive business in the world. The NAC C-1 "Prodigy", their first mass-produced vehicle, was so popular that customers were, at the time, standing outside of the actual factory and drove their freshly made Prodigy home themselves. The company offers a wide range of cars, like their coveted S-10 "Swordfish" sports car, the trusty WT-40 "Horseback" truck and the infamous PD-11 "Guardian" police car.
